I have a cat named Kitty.
I used to have a dog named Puppy.
I'm originally from Kentucky so yes, I have a Southern accent.
I have an almost 3-year-old son named Emmitt (after my father and grandfather).
I have earned the Photographic Master Craftsman degrees through the Professional Photographers of America.
I am the past President of the Professional Photographers of the Ozarks (Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma).
I've been in business, full time, for 10 years as of Fall 2017. I'm not an I-got-a-big-camera-for-Christmas-and-now-I'm-going-to-be-a-pro kind of photographer. I've been in the photography industry for well over a decade and went to a technical photography school in Ohio to learn the ins and outs of the trade.
Why is this important? Because it means I know how to make you look your very best! Did you know that posing and lighting techniques can either make you look 20 pounds lighter (if you've been trained to know what you're doing) or 20 pounds heavier if you don't?
At Jessica Edwards Photography, we're all about the experience of the photo shoot. Anyone can snap your picture. But when you hire us, we'll do so much more. We'll hold your hand through the whole process to make sure you know what's going to happen next, and so you'll know exactly what you need to do to prepare for your photo shoot. Professional portraits are a big deal and we understand that! We want to make it as fun, stress-free, and memorable as possible.
If you're interested in more information about a shoot, please use the "contact" section of this website and shoot us a message. We're looking forward to hearing from you!
